Since mid-August, Daniel and Robyn Brown have been the new innkeepers at the Ocean Avenue Inn in uptown Westport. Daniel is the director of operations and Robyn is in charge of processes and procedures.
“We are excited to take on this new challenge and we look forward to a great year with strong results,” said Robyn.
“We know that being on par in terms of price and quality only gets you into the game, but excellent customer service is what wins the game. Our focus will be not only in offering consistently clean, comfortable and welcoming accommodations, but also going that extra mile to be sure that our customers receive the best customer service available anywhere,” said Daniel.
The Ocean Ave Inn has accommodations that include single units, one-, two or three-bedroom suites and even a guest cottage for larger groups or families.
All rooms offer complimentary Wi-Fi, satellite TV, coffee maker and at least one queen-size bed. There are even three pet-friendly rooms available.
Outdoor amenities include a fish-cleaning station and a barbecue area.
Centrally located in uptown Westport, within easy walking distance from the inn guests will find a supermarket, bar and grill, coffee house, restaurant, art gallery and the historic Grays Harbor lighthouse. A little longer trek or a two-minute drive will take you on down West Ocean Avenue to Westport Light State Park on the beach and the two-mile paved Grays Harbor Light Dune Trail that meanders along the Pacific shoreline all the way to Westport’s Marina District.
Hospitality background
Both Daniel and Robyn bring strong backgrounds working in the hospitality industry to their new venture. Robyn served as director of operations and manager of the Lake Creek Inn in Troy, Mont., the Wilderness Inn at Enterprise Ore., Sun Country Cleaning &Home Services, LLC in Sunriver, Ore., and as assistant general manager at Classic Cleaning, Bufax, Sunray and Mountain Country Resort. Most recently she was the assistant front desk manager and housekeeping manager for the Quality Inn in Bend, Ore.
Daniel was manager of the Lake Creek Inn in Troy, Mont., the Wilderness Inn at Enterprise Ore., Sun Country Cleaning &Home Services LLC in Sunriver Ore., director of event management at Auto Body Connection and Total Exposure Studios in Central Oregon, CEO &general manager of Central Oregon Links and general manager at Memory Lane Murals.
