Many years ago, before the arrival of television, we listened to a radio program that began with a voice of ominous tone, saying “who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows.”
Evil has been present on the Earth forever. After all, the first family of Adam and Eve managed to commit nearly every sin known to man still today, but back in the days I refer to, evil was not lurking over us as a prevailing force — at least for most of us.
In our world of today, God is giving us, first hand, a glimpse of what living in Hell will be like, should we make the choices that will send us there. Whatever Hell is otherwise, it is a total separation from God, which the Communist progressives of both predominant political parties, have created here on Earth. We are seeing the tragedy of human behavior if God and His laws, morals and guidance are not considered within the governing and daily routines of the human element.
To those that voters have turned into professional politicians, whose fervid desire for more power and control, COVID was the perfect “crisis” to take advantage of a fractious and divided “society” by further separation via edicts to prevent social gathering of the people, most especially prohibiting church services or other locations where friends meet to relax and converse — even overreaching to the point of proclaiming whether families could gather and even prohibiting family members to visit their sick or dying family in hospitals or other facilities. — random and capricious choices as to what was or was not “essential” from the government standpoint.
Amazing, that we have allowed ourselves to descend into government drones having come from the brave and fearless pioneers of our nation’s beginnings! But those pioneers never lost sight of the power of God and their faith guided them into this New World to fight when necessary, to establish a society of free peoples — freedom to seek the good things of life and overcome the evil to the best of their abilities. See 2 Chronicles 7:14 in your Bible.
“No default has been greater than that of America’s Christian Churches — supposedly society’s guardians of truth” taken from a Michael Walsh column. Rather than uniting in prayer and supplication to our Lord God, many churches have closed their doors, remaining closed for more than a year.
Wasn’t that one of the reasons that our Savior died for us, to conquer death?
Why have we allowed fear to rule our lives for so long. Does not Scripture tell us repeatedly, “fear not, for I am with you always” and similar comforting words throughout His Bible? Where is our faith, where is our passion for Christ?
It was definitely a “cheer moment” as I watched Pastor Artur Pawlowski speak of driving police officers from his church on Holy Saturday, calling them “Nazis,” ”Gestapo” and “Communists” as the officers tried to shut his church service down. He “bulled” members of the Alberta Health Services, and City of Calgary Bylaw services, out the door and into the street, shouting imprecations at them all the way.
Hallelujah! Pawlowski was born in Communist occupied Poland and had lived in that totalitarianism, so he fully understands the misery of Communism!
I believe that it is past time to return to the American way of life, sans masks and distancing, unless of course, one has a compromised immune system or other serious health issues, but my choice is to walk in faith and not in fear for God is with me, my rock and my shield, my comfort.
Isn’t the American declaration “live free or die?” I am an American Christian!
