Thank you Jim Walsh for doing something so outrageously offensive it got noticed statewide.
Jim has added wearing a yellow star to his costume repertoire, sharing space with his cowboy bandana and his gilet jaune.
He was trying to compare Covid protocols with being persecuted by Nazis. (Note to politicians and others in the limelight — Holocaust comparisons usually end badly.)
This victim fantasy lets people feel defensive and aggressive. Being informed about vaccinations and mask wearing leads to feelings of responsibility and caring.
Much less theatrical.
If Walsh and his supporters feel the need for drama, they could put on a production of “Macbeth.” Plenty of victim roles to go around. And cool costumes.
