Who should be the next Washington State treasurer? My bet — it’s a race you’ve heard little about.

Democrat or Republican?

Oh, never mind, the Democrats were eliminated in the top-two primary. Only two Republicans remain.

We need someone with both knowledge and experience. Duane Davidson is that candidate.

First elected as Benton County Treasurer in 2003, he has widespread support among his peers. In fact, Duane currently serves as the president of the Washington State Association of County Treasurers.

Talk about endorsements. They come from Democrats and Republicans in all corners of the state, including the editorial boards of major newspapers and statewide labor unions.
