Regarding the April 7 guest opinion column, “Mayor says Cormier’s requirements for GGHI are sour grapes,” is Mayor Erik Larson truly concerned about “cooperatively marketing” county tourism assets? Or are his knickers in a knot over something else, like Commissioner Wes Cormier’s opposition to using county funds to promote tourism via the Gateway Center?
Is the mayor’s missive a reaction to the commissioner’s resistance to Larson’s push for county ownership of same?
Why is the mayor so seemingly steamed over accountability metrics vis-a-vis taxpayer money?
