Mr. and Mrs. Robert Beerbower of Elma will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, April 14, with an informal reception and dessert potluck from 1 to 4 p.m. in the McCleary Community Hall.

Robert Gene Beerbower and Karen Lynn Boling were married Jan. 10, 1959, in Tacoma. Both attended Elma schools and graduated in 1960.

Their children are Scott Beerbower, Kim Meyenburg and Kris Watson of Elma; and Randy Beerbower of Aberdeen.They have 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Robert Beerbower, a former Grays Harbor County commissioner, owned and operated Bob’s Chevron Service in Elma for 28 years. Karen Beerbower worked at Elma Thriftway and Everybody’s for more than 30 years. They are now both retired.
