Longtime Brooklyn residents William and Mina (Johnson) Bickar recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
The couple, both graduates of North River School in Brooklyn, were married Aug. 10, 1949, in Hoquiam.
Bill served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952, worked as a timber faller for almost 50 years and was the maintenance man at Country Estates.
Mina began working in real estate in 1967 and retired from the Greenwood Properties office in Olympia in 1989.
They have three children, Denny, Cathy and Alan; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
They have lived on the Harbor their entire married life, now residing in Central Park.
