Adoptable Pet: Max

Get out the tissues: At 12 years old, Max was brought to the shelter because his owner is moving to senior assisted living and can’t take him with her. He is a super-chill older dude with a few extra pounds on him.

His most distinguishing feature — and, most likely, the first thing you’ll notice about him — is his teeth. Max doesn’t simply have an underbite; his lower teeth are chunky and square and stick out in weird directions. Max’s teeth make him one of the most adorable seniors to have passed through PAWS in quite some time. His name quickly went from simply Max to Sir Max, as his teeth give him a very British air.

Max’s adoption fee is $75. If you are a senior as well, you’ll receive a 20 percent discount, which brings it down to $60.

You can find Max at PAWS of Grays Harbor, 800 W. First St., Aberdeen. They are open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Thursdays from 2 to 6 p.m. You can also visit PAWS online at www.pawsgh.org, find them on Facebook or call 360-533-1141.
