Zachary Barnes, a junior at Hoquiam High School, is graduating early — and with honors.

The son of Edward and Donnell Barnes is among the HHS Honor Grads this year, with a 3.70 overall GPA. His information was not available last week when The Daily World featured Hoquiam’s top seniors.

Zachary also is a World Class Scholar and a member of the school band. He has played all three years on the varsity wrestling and football teams, and competed for two years in varsity track and field.

His plan is to enlist with the U.S. Army Airborne and pursue a military career.
