Local supporters of North Beach PAWS, Charlie and Ann Utterback, recently donated $17,000 to the organization, fulfilling their commitment to match general donations made through June 30 this year up to $100,000, that were collected by the organization.

“We are extremely appreciative of their fundraising assistance, which will help the shelter greatly with ongoing operational expenses and physical improvements needing to be made to the property,” said Lorna Valdez, North Beach PAWS president.

“Many thanks to The Utterbacks for their generosity and kindness. We need all of the help we can get during these difficult times with COVID 19, where money is scarce, Fundraising events are needing to be cancelled, and there are more animals than ever needing our assistance.”
