Thousands of people turned out for food and fun today at the 54th annual Loggers Playday. Many of themed lined the streets for the annual Hoquiam Elks Grand Parade. Competition was expected to be fierce for for All-Around Logger title at the logging-skills competition that took place later in the evening at Olympic Stadium. The title has been dominated by two men for the past 25 years: Mike Forrester, with 14 wins since 1994; and defending champ Rob Waibel, with eight.
