Aidan Worlton, a member of Scout Troop 4040 in Raymond, achieved the rank of Eagle this month.
His service project was a Christmas toy drive for the Crisis Support Network. Donations were gathered from collection boxes put out at area businesses, then wrapped and labeled. This helped the nonprofit organization pass out the gifts quickly, ensuring more children could receive something.
“I love Christmas, and I wanted to make sure that these kids could experience the same joy that everyone else has at Christmas,” Aidan said.
Aidan, the son of James and Heidi Worlton, graduated from Raymond High School this year. He will be leaving Aug. 29 to serve a two-year mission in Southern California for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
