Santa will once again arrive in style during Westport’s annual Santa by the Sea celebration Saturday.
The jolly fat man will be ushered to Float 6 via Coast Guard vessel in the Westport Marina at 10 a.m. From there he’ll make his way to a Westport fire engine, which will take him to the Westport Maritime Museum Lens Hall to meet with kids from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., courtesy the Westport South Beach Historical Society.
Next door, McCausland Hall will host the annual holiday bazaar and bake sale between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tables filled with crafts and all variety of baked treats will be available for purchase, hosted by the historical society.
Across town at the Tackle Box events center, where the South Beach Buccaneers Pirates will be holding its shop with a pirate event, which features a kids only store with $1 gifts the kids can buy for their parents and siblings and leave with them wrapped and ready to give. This event runs from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. And between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. you can get a free bowl of chili from the pirates outside the Tackle Box.
The museum is located at 2201 Westhaven Drive. Float 6 is about a block northwest of the museum across from the Blue Buoy Restaurant. The Tackle Box is situated at the northwest end of Westhaven Drive near the Westport Viewing Tower.
