Over the last year or two, many people have taken the opportunity to reflect on what matters in life. One of the good things to come from the pandemic is a renewed sense of the importance of community. As things changed in the last 20 months – a lot – our communities had to adapt to this new way of doing things.
For many in the restaurant business, the support of their local community became a matter of survival.
For the folks at Cascade Pizza, which opened just over three years ago, the focus right from the start has been on providing the best-possible, quality food at affordable, family-friendly prices. What they found was that it was something local folks loved and supported — so much so that they’re hoping to expand operations to a second location in the near future.
While it’s a pandemic success story, it’s also one about thanking the community for its support for local restaurants through a tough time . Even if the treat of enjoying a night out was curtailed for a while, Cascade Pizza provided an affordable – and delicious – night in for many!
Quality food speaks for itself, and Cascade has a menu filled with homemade flavour sensations including:
- Classic pizzas: Hawaiian, Meat Lovers, The Works
- Signature pizza: Cowboy, Garlic Chicken Artichoke, Taco
- Build-your-own pizza from a selection of toppings
- Calzones
- Chicken Wings
- Pasta with house-made sauces (fettuccini, ravioli etc.)
- Salads
- Home-made breadsticks
- Hand-rolled cinnamon rolls
- Home-made New York-style cheesecake
- Beer and wine too!
Everything on the food menu is made in-store from scratch, and with fresh local ingredients whenever possible. Ingredients are top-notch, from angus beef for everything from tacos to meatballs, to fresh-never-frozen hand-made pizza crusts and breadsticks (they don’t even have a freezer!).
Quality ingredients need quality cooking, so Cascade Pizza cooks all their pizzas in a traditional brick pizza oven, giving it authentic flavor!
With such attention to detail, you could be forgiven for thinking it might be pricey, but you’d be wrong. Cascade Pizza prides itself on their reasonable prices. Check out the menu here. They also offer a meal deal, letting you feed a family of four for $20, including an 18 inch pizza, breadsticks and a two litre bottle of soda!
For those bigger gatherings (like after the game!), Cascade has a 75-seat banquet room available for larger parties free of charge with food purchase. There’s loads of parking too!
