Aloha Alabama BBQ is a restaurant born out of the belief that food is the best way to communicate across cultures. The owners hail from small towns in Alabama and Hawaii and found their paradise in the tiny coastal town of Westport on the Washington Coast.
Their menu specialties? Slow-cooked meats – customers love their Texas-style brisket, Alabama-style pulled pork, and Hawaiian Kalua roast pork, all smoked low and slow over a mix of local apple and Hawaiian Kiawe wood.
“However, the fan-favorite in this beach town is definitely our fish tacos,” says Aloha’s Brook Maples Priest. “Made with crispy Pacific Northwest cod and served with house toppings, you’ll find the patio filled with fish taco lovers all summer long!”
Also boasting a full bar, a shared Pau Hana Punch – their supersized version of a mai tai – is the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion, or sip one of their other handcrafted specialty cocktails.
This year, Aloha Alabama BBQ introduced the Aloha Market to make enjoying their specialty foods even easier. These delicious and convenient meal options are ready to heat and serve, and include smoked meats by the pound, complete meals, sides, and tasty salads to take the guesswork out of what’s for dinner.
“Families in Westport love to pick up a pack of smoked chicken and use it in other recipes at home – from salads to pasta, making mom and dad’s dinner preparation fast, affordable and easy!” Priest says.
They also offer catering throughout Grays Harbor and Washington’s coastal areas. They’ve catered events from Seabrook to Willapa Bay and can accommodate groups from small meetings to large gatherings. They love to work with local families and event planners to help make events easy!
Aloha Alabama BBQ is a proud member of the Westport community. During the pandemic, they offered “Pay It Forward” meals and delivered meals to folks who were homebound. They have supported the local Christian outreach by donating 200 hot meals for their monthly outreach event for the past several years, and also love to work with local nonprofits on fundraising activities.
Whether you’re looking for a quick and delicious dinner, or somewhere to sit and have a cocktail while enjoying marina views, you’ll find Aloha Alabama BBQ at 2309 Westhaven Dr. in Westport.
