A 31-year-old Raymond logger was killed Tuesday when he was caught between two moving logs on a landing, according to Grays Harbor County chief criminal deputy Brad Johansson.
Deputies responded to the landing near Dennis Road in Porter at 1:37 p.m. Coworkers provided first aid until the aid crew arrived, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, said Johansson.
Deputies and the State Department of Labor and Industries are investigating and were still on-scene at 4:30 p.m. Johansson said the incident “appears to be a workplace accident.”
