3rd Avenue in Aberdeen to close for waterline replacement

Closure will last until work is complete between Bellevue Avenue and North F Street

The city of Aberdeen announced via press release that 3rd Avenue will close between Bellevue Avenue and North F Street starting Wednesday and will remain so until work is complete as a section of waterline is replaced.

The press release went on to say additional construction to repair the segment of 3rd Avenue that was damaged during a slide in January 2022 is scheduled for later this summer. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has recently authorized the city to move forward with these critical repairs.

City officials encourage residents to stay alert, watch for traffic control devices, and obey all construction signs and flagging personnel.
