Aberdeen High School Class of 2020 graduates went out with a parade and a socially distanced graduation ceremony at Stewart Field on June 12.
The parade started at Shoppes at Riverside and wound through downtown Aberdeen, past the high school and on to Stewart Field, the traditional graduation spot for Aberdeen seniors in a far-from-traditional school year. Hundreds of people held signs and cheered along the parade route.
Once at Stewart Field, students were able to come through one at a time to collect their diploma covers from Principal Sherri Northington. After, they could do the traditional moving of the graduation tassel to the left, signifying their graduation.
