The man was arrested with a large amount of cash and suspected fentanyl

The Aberdeen Police Department and Grays Harbor Drug Task Force made an arrest in their ongoing campaign against fentanyl trafficking in the county last week.

After receiving information about suspected drug dealing, police arrested a 31-year-old man on the 300 block of East State Street with assistance from the Hoquiam Police Department and their drug dog team, according to a task force news release.

The man had about 25 grams of suspected fentanyl powder, valued at about $1,400, and a little less than $1,500 in cash, according to the news release.

Another man, a 32-year-old transient, was arrested on outstanding warrants as well during the incident.

The 31-year-old man, whose name has not been released, will be taken to the county jail and processed for a Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, according to the release.
