The Aberdeen School District has cancelled the Aberdeen School Board meeting set for today at 5 p.m.
According to a statement on the district’s website, the meeting was cancelled due to it being after a holiday weekend, because there there was no business requiring the school board’s action, and because there’s a collective bargaining session with the Aberdeen Education Association on Wednesday afternoon.
“… Given our upcoming collective bargaining session, it was considered to be in the best interests of the district to focus on our teachers,” the statement concluded.
The next school board meeting will be on Sept. 18 at 5 p.m. in the Community Room at Aberdeen High School.
