The Aberdeen School District has provided updated information on locations and times for free meal pickup for kids age 18 and younger during the school closure.
“Meals will still be served during the two week Stay Home Stay Healthy shutdown,” said district food service director Jaime Matisons.
All students 18 and younger are eligible for free meals, which can be picked up by an adult as long as the student is present. Lunch and breakfast for the next day will be provided for each student at five parks and several bus stops across the district.
Grab and go meals are served from 10 a.m. to noon at five park locations:
• Finch Park, 608 West Sumner
• Wes Peterson Park, 2715 Bay Avenue
• Northend Park, 1500 North Young Street
• Pioneer Park, 214 South Tilden Street
• Central Park School, 601 School Road
Meals will be served by school bus a the following locations:
• Bus #141 – Central Park and AJ West: 10-10:30 a.m. at 5617 Olympic Highway; 10:45-11:15 a.m. at AJ West Elementary.
• Bus #149 – Central Park and McDermoth: 10-10:30 a.m. at 6504 Olympic Highway; 10:40-10:55 a.m. at South Chehalis and Summit streets; 11-11:30 a.m. at McDermoth Elementary.
• Bus #150 – South Aberdeen: 10:10-10:25 a.m. at 1731 South Boone Street; 10:25-10:40 a.m. at 1908 Harding Road; 10:45-11:15 a.m. at Garley Park; 11:15-11:30 a.m. at West Marion and North Mill streets; 11:30-11:45 a.m. at West Curtis and North Evans streets.
• Bus #146 – East Wishkah: 10:05-10:20 a.m. at North B and East First streets; 10:20-10:50 a.m. at 1114 Arthur Street (Cleveland Street); 10:50-11 a.m. and North B Street and Fourth Avenue; 11-11:15 a.m. 2735 Riverview Drive; 11:25-11:35 a.m. at Aberdeen Gardens Road and Riverside Road East.
