As he did in the August Primary, Menlo resident Dick Anderson racked up a commanding lead against Raymond resident Mike Lignoski in their bids to fill the Pacific County PUD District 2 Commission Seat No. 3.
Tuesday’s General Election first ballot counts show Anderson earning 4,053 votes for 53.85 percent of the 7,628 ballots tallied thus far. Lignoski earned 3,474 votes for a 46.15 percent share.
Anderson received an endorsement from the county PUD workers union. His platform include a desire for better public relations, greater transparency on the part of the commission, increased fiscal responsibility and an evaluation of the extension of power to Tokeland project before any more funds are expended.
Lignoski campaigned on developing more green renewable energy in the county, wants to audit wage increases to determine what is warranted in the future and supports the extension of power to Tokeland project.
The next Pacific County vote count is scheduled for Nov. 15.
