Burton named as Coastal Harvest executive director

Coastal Harvest is a nonprofit organization working to drive hunger from area communities

Angela Burton has been named executive director of Coastal Harvest. She will start her new position Nov. 2.

Coastal Harvest is a non-profit organization serving seven counties within Western Washington that works to drive hunger from area communities by delivering food, free of charge, to more than 40 food banks, senior centers, tribal centers and feeding programs from a distribution warehouse in Hoquiam.

“The staff, board and volunteers are some of the most caring, dedicated group of people I have ever been in contact with. I am eager to join these groups and continue making a difference in the communities we serve,” Burton said in a press release.

Burton is a Grays Harbor native and graduate of Saint Martin’s University, where she earned her bachelor’s in business administration with a double concentration in management and marketing.

Her professional background is in distribution and business management. She currently works for Crown Distributing in Aberdeen.
