Chocolate on the Beach was a sweet success, with related events and demonstrations well attended and members of the Oregon Superhero Coalition helping to punch up the fun.
This year’s overall goal was to fund three $2,000 grants: one to the North Beach Community Center, and two to emergency service providers: Grays Harbor Fire District 16 in Copalis Crossing and KXPB-LP 89.1 FM, the Pacific Beach emergency broadcaster. Stephanie Allestad, the event’s founder, president and coordinator, said it’ll be several days before the event’s dollar totals are available.
