Cosi city staff, Public Works schedules being adjusted

Cosmopolis city staff will work a four-day schedule starting Monday, while public access to all city facilities remains closed, Mayor Kyle Pauley announced Thursday.

City Hall staff will begin an 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule with Fridays closed to the public. The change is intended to provide access while minimizing risks associated with COVID-19, according to a city statement.

Public Works employees will be working on an alternating four-day schedule to allow for state-recommended social distancing. Employees will alternate days off.

City employees will maintain their allotted hours and benefits under this change.

The police and fire departments will see no change under this adjustment and will maintain 24/7 coverage of the community.
