Beginning Tuesday, some Daily World home delivery customers will begin receiving their newspaper with the daily mail instead of from a newspaper carrier.

Our goal will be same day delivery, meaning Tuesday’s paper in Tuesday’s mail.

For now a limited number of routes will be changing to postal service, but in the coming months, all home delivery will be converted to U.S. Postal Service Delivery. Customers on those routes that are converting right away will receive a notice with their paper delivery Thursday and Saturday.

The change is being driven by the financial efficiency. When Amazon began using the Postal Service for its Prime deliveries, that got our attention. With a postal carrier already going to most homes every day, it’s one way to improve the consistency of our delivery in a timely way.
