Roy L. Avery

RENTON — Former Hoquiam resident Roy Lyle Avery died of complications of Duchenne muscular dystrophy on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at his home in Renton. He was 35.

Arranements are by Evergreen Washelli in Seattle.

Lance Hartt

AMANDA PARK — Lance J.D. Hartt, a lifetime resident of the Quinault area, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at his home in Amanda Park. He was 34.

He served four years in the U.S. Navy and worked as a guard at Washington Correctional Center in Shelton for 2 years and for Olympic Correctional Center at Forks for an additional 6 years.

A memorial service will be held at noon today at the Quinault Valley Chapel in Neilton.

Direction is by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
