Drive-by shooting in Aberdeen
A road rage incident in Aberdeen on Sunday has police searching for the driver of a silver or gray GMC-style extra cab truck who reportedly fired on another vehicle with a handgun.
The victim was driving into Aberdeen on Highway 12 when the road rage incident began. The driver of the truck stayed with the victim through Aberdeen and onto Sumner Avenue toward Hoquiam when he pulled what appeared to be a handgun and fired several shots, one striking the victim’s tires, according to police.
The suspect vehicle fled southbound from the 1700 block of Sumner Avenue and was not located. There were no injuries, and police are still searching for the truck, which reportedly had a large dent on the driver’s side of the bed.
