Don’t buy booze when you’re already buzzed

A female under the influence of alcohol entered Jo’s Deli at 500 East First Street Tuesday evening. Aberdeen officers observed the female and knew she was intoxicated due to a contact earlier that night. When the female came out of the store she had a can of Steel Reserve High Gravity beer. She was issued an infraction for purchasing liquor while under the influence. The store clerk was contacted and informed that it is illegal to sell alcohol to intoxicated people and issued a citation for sales of liquor to person under the influence of liquor.
