Westport will host its 19th annual Art Festival this Saturday and Sunday in the city’s Marina District. More than 90 art, crafts and food booths are expected to line the Westport esplanade and fill the grounds surrounding the Westport Maritime Museum.

The free admission event runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There’s plenty of free parking nearby in the public lots between Westhaven Drive and N. Nyhus Avenue.

Dozens of vendors will offer a huge variety of unique items that demonstrate their talents in nearly as many art forms from cloth to paint, ceramics to cements, woods to writings and more. The Westport Maritime Museum grounds will be filled with arts and crafts booths, as well as the entire length of the Westport esplanade that fronts the marina.

Live entertainment

Free live performances will be offered both days of the festival throughout the area. Enjoy the music of All In, The Old Sidekicks, Ray Prestegard, Greg Parke and others as you stroll along looking for that ‘just right’ piece of artwork.

Kids will have a great time this year creating their very own art projects at the Maritime Museum.

This year’s art festival includes iced drinks, hot dogs, corn dogs, hamburgers, deli sandwiches, cheesy nachos, specialty sausages, roasted turkey legs, burgers, elephant ears, caramel corn, kettle corn, ice cream and more.
