Two crashes in Pacific County injured five people and sent four to the hospital over the holiday weekend, according to the State Patrol.
Friday, a 74-year-old Raymond woman was driving southbound on State Route 42 at milepost 32 at about 11:30 a.m. when her vehicle went off the road to the right, striking an embankment and rolling onto its top, coming to rest fully blocking the southbound lane and partially blocking the northbound lane. The State Patrol said the woman was injured but not transported to the hospital.
At about 7 p.m. Sunday, four people were sent to Willapa Harbor Hospital after a two-car crash on Highway 101 at Bay Center Road. According to the State Patrol, a 31-year-old South Bend woman was driving eastbound on Bay Center Road and failed to yield to another vehicle heading south on 101. The South Bend driver and a 16-year-old passenger were injured, as was the 32-year-old Anacortes driver and his 25-year-old passenger. Their conditions were not made available.
