A relative of the three men killed in a crash on Highway 101 Oct. 21 has started a campaign to raise money to send their remains back to their native Guatemala.

Gelber Saquiche Barrios lost three relatives that day, an uncle and two cousins: Eduardo T. Barrios Saquiche, Luis A. Barrios Saquiche, and Elmer A. Mejia Barrios.

The cost to return their remains to their home town of Las Flores Saquicol San Carlos Sija Quetzaltenango in Guatemala, plus funeral costs and expenses, is more than $24,000.

A GoFundMe page has been established by Barrios’ school, Tamalpais Adult School in Larkspur, California, to raise funds, with just under $4,000 of the $5,000 goal reached as of Monday. To access the page, go to https://gofund.me/d34c8691.
