The press release states “AGP has invested more than $200 million at its Port of Grays Harbor Terminal 2 storage and export facility since 2001, making it the largest soymeal export facility on the West Coast. With the ongoing expansion of Terminal 4, AGP remains invested in the Grays Harbor community and committed to the long-term growth of the local economy. The expansion broke ground in November 2024 and is expected to be operational by mid-2026.”

The release added, “(AGP) understands that forging relationships with the surrounding businesses and local leadership is of the utmost importance and is excited to be part of the Grays Harbor story for many more years to come.“

“(Our) combined facilities process over one million bushels, 27,000 metric tons, per day of U.S. farm grown soybeans,” said Wayne Johnson of AGP during the Port of Grays Harbor’s annual business report event in February. “I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the importance of your local Port of Grays Harbor which is so instrumental in the export of 3 million metric tons per year of high quality, value-added soybean meal to over a dozen countries in the Pacific Rim.”

AGP is now qualified for the GGHI Member of the Year award to be announced and presented at the Leaders’ Banquet on May 30, at the Quinault Beach Resort and Casino in Ocean Shores. Hoquiam Timberland Library, TwinStar Credit Union and Summit Pacific Medical Center also earned Member of the Quarter honors for 2024. Advanced Heating & Air, Inc., earned last year’s GGHI Member of the Year award.
