The Grays Harbor County Fair kicks off today at 10 a.m. at the fairgrounds in Elma.
Fair hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Adult admission is $10, seniors 62 and older $7, kids age 6-15 $7, and kids age 5 and younger get in free. The front and pavilion gates will allow fairgoers to pay for admission using credit or debit cards.
Carnival wristbands, good for unlimited rides on the day purchased, are $28 and available for purchase in the carnival lot. Tickets for individual rides are $4 apiece; books of 10 tickets are $35.
Wednesday is House Brothers Day at the fair. The traditional parade starts at 5 p.m., the dedication and opening ceremonies begin at 6 p.m. The annual Sharon Grange berry baking contest entries are accepted at the Pavilion Annex from 10 am. to 1 p.m. Country music artist Randy Houser performs on the Pepsi Stage at 8 p.m.
Thursday is Timberland Bank Day and Kids Day. Children ages 6 to 15 will get $2 off admission and carnival rides will cost $2.50 each throughout the day. Country music artist Lorrie Morgan will perform on the Pepsi Stage that night. The Creature Critters show begins at 1 p.m. on the Custom Security Stage. The Library Program is at 11 a.m. on the Jodesha Kids Zone Stage.
Friday is Grays Harbor PUD Day. Local country-rock band Humptulips will perform at 7 p.m. on the Pepsi Stage. Also performing Friday is Kynan Shane at 4 p.m. on the Jodesha Kids Zone Stage. The Talent Show begins at 6 p.m. on the Custom Security Stage.
Saturday is PASHA Auto Group Day. Entertainment includes the Kaleidoscope Dancers (1 p.m. Custom Security Stage), the youth livestock auction supporting 4H and FFA students from the county is at 2 p.m. in the Montesano Farm and Home Arena, car races at Grays Harbor Raceway (4 p.m., free with fair admission), Stefan Roland (6 p.m. Custom Security Stage) and Eagles tribute band Hotel California (8 p.m. Pepsi Stage). This visit is Hotel California’s fourth time at the Grays Harbor County Fair.
Admission from 10 to 11 a.m. is free Sunday, which is Bi-Mart Day. Torrin Kingrey performs at 1 p.m. on the Jodesha Kids Zone Stage. A cheerleading exhibition will be at 3 p.m. on the Custom Security Stage.
Other displays to watch throughout week include Cap’n ARRR, Olympia Bee Keepers and a petting zoo.
