The public is invited to an open house Wednesday at the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport to hear about its ongoing cleanup efforts, its maritime trade educational program, ongoing projects and its plan to have tall ship Lady Washington at its home port more often.
The open house starts with Historical Seaport staff and board introductions at 6:30 p.m. at Seaport Landing, 500 N. Custer St. in south Aberdeen. There will be two brief presentations, followed by a short tour of the grounds. Light refreshments will be provided.
Open house schedule:
6:40 p.m. Discussion about environmental efforts at the landing and the Seaport’s efforts to secure grants. There will be a presentation about the Spar Shop and workforce development efforts, followed by questions and community engagement.
7:15 p.m. The Seafarer Collective, the Seaport’s maritime trade school, will be the subject of the presentation.
7:45 p.m. Tours and questions.
