Grays Harbor County Republicans ruled the Election Day on Tuesday, although they were stomped by a blue tide from the rest of the state.
Count voters supported incoming President Donald Trump with 51% of the vote, all the state candidates for Congress (some Democrats passed with the state totals added), voting for gubernatorial candidate Dave Reichert with 55% of the vote (he lost to our new Gov. Bob Ferguson), Republican Jaime Herrera-Beutler with a whopping 57% for Lands Commissioner (she lost to Democrat Dave Upthegrove who won with 53% of the statewide vote), all of the state legislative races and our county commissioners.
For the state, clearly the Democrats ruled the election with strong support from King and Snohomish county voters. In all, 31,081 Grays Harbor citizens voted out of 50,692 registered voters, a rate of 61%.
