Harbors celebrate National Night Out

Dozens of gatherings in several town across Grays Harbor and Pacific counties took place Tuesday during National Night Out.

In Aberdeen and Hoquiam, the police and fire departments hit as many gatherings as they could. In Aberdeen, there were at least 12 gatherings, and the Police Explorer Post ushered McGruff the Crime Dog to those. The Hoquiam police and fire departments split into two groups to hit all the block parties in town, starting at Channel Point Village and the Hoquiam Elks Club.

There were also block parties in Cosmopolis, Elma, McCleary, Montesano, Oakville, Ocean Shores, and Westport, and in Pacific County — Raymond, South Bend, Long Beach and Ilwaco.
