A two-car, head-on collision on State Route 105 at Oyster Place on Saturday sent one driver to the hospital, according to the Washington State Patrol.
According to the accident report, an 85-year-old Long Beach man driving a Toyota Yaris was stopped on 105 preparing to take a left turn at Oyster Place, the exit to Brady’s Oysters. Another vehicle, a Chevrolet Cavalier driven by a 28-year-old Aberdeen woman, was traveling in the opposite direction when, around 4 p.m., the Yaris attempted the left turn and struck the Cavalier head-on. The Yaris came to a rest blocking one lane, the Cavalier wound up in the opposite lane ditch.
The Long Beach man was taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital with undisclosed injuries and could face a failure-to-yield charge, according to the State Patrol. The Aberdeen driver told The Daily World she was also injured. Both vehicles were totaled.
