At Monday’s City Council meeting, Hoquiam Library Manager Mary Thornton provided an update on the closure dates for the library due to the renovation project. The library will be closed more than a month.

The schedule calls for the library to be closed Oct. 11-Nov. 16, at which time Hoquiam staff members will be disbursed to other Timberland Regional Library locations in the area. Thornton said the drop box will still be available for patrons.

Thornton also updated some new locations for some of the groups that meet regularly at the library. The Page Turners, an adult book discussion group, will meet at the Polson Museum at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month, and the library’s Preschool Storytime will be held Fridays at 10:30 a.m. in the Hoquiam City Council chambers.
