Humptulips man goes missing south of Lake Quinault, search ongoing

The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office and Volunteer Search and Rescue are searching for a 34-year-old man from Humptulips who went missing south of Lake Quinault Wednesday afternoon while looking for wood.

The Sheriff’s Office has identified the man as Brandon Brown, from Humptulips, who was hiking in the area of Wright’s Canyon Road off South Shore Road in Quinault. Friends and family searched for Brown after losing track of him midday yesterday, and a search and rescue team has been looking for him since Thursday morning.

Sergeant Brad Johansson described Brown as a six-foot-tall white male wearing a black Carhartt jacket, blue jeans, and work boots.
