Kettle Klash

Event kicks off Dec. 1

The Salvation Army’s 13th annual Kettle Klash starts at noon on Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Harbor City Church at the corner of Scammel and Cherry in Aberdeen.

Tickets to the luncheon, catered by O’Briens, are $15.

During the event, “Kettle Captains” representing service clubs, churches, businesses and corporate sponsors will be introduced and then they have just a couple of minutes to circulate through the luncheon ringing bells and soliciting donations.

Last year over $27,000 was collected during the event.

The Salvation Army assists people with money for rent, utilities, bus tokens, prescriptions, furniture, clothing, food, hygiene items, bus fare and air fare as well as providing Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas for Kids.
