A LaPine, Oregon, man has died after being involved in a three-vehicle collision on Highway 12 at Keys Road near Satsop late Wednesday afternoon, according to a statement released by Paul Petrinovich the Washington State Patrol.
The deceased was identified as 93-year-old William Anderson. The State Patrol investigation into the accident claimed Anderson failed to stop at the stop sign on Keys Road and entered the westbound lanes of Highway 12 and was hit on the passenger side by a truck driven by the Hoquiam man. The impact of the collision caused Anderson’s car to hit another vehicle driven by a Grayland man, who was not injured. One lane of westbound 12 was partially blocked for four hours.
Anderson’s family was notified of his condition Thursday and his family was by his side when he died Friday, according to the State Patrol statement.
