During the month of May, the Lions Clubs will be emphasizing the collection of used prescription eyeglasses and prescription and non-prescription sunglasses for recycling.

The collected glasses will be cleaned and prepared for distribution in developing countries where eye care is often unaffordable and inaccessible.

Local Lions will collect donations Friday and Saturday at the Cosmopolis Post Office, the Southside Swanson’s grocery store, Dennis Co. in South Aberdeen, and the Aberdeen Safeway and Walmart stores.
