A Humptulips man was arrested Monday evening after striking several passing vehicles with rocks on Highway 101.
Kyle T. Cloud, 32, was arrested and transported to the county jail for reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, two counts of third degree malicious mischief, and a protective order violation, said Undersheriff Kevin Schrader.
Multiple callers reported their vehicles were struck with rocks near milepost 109 near Humptulips just before 7 p.m., Schrader said, with one caller injured. At least two vehicles were struck. Schrader said. Deputies and two state troopers responded.
“We responded with State Patrol,” Schrader said. “One subject suffered a glass cut to her head.”
Cloud had been picked up by a family member, but law enforcement personnel were able to locate him. Cloud had barricaded himself in a vehicle, Schrader said, but they were able to unlock the car and get him out, detaining him without incident.
Cloud is currently in custody at the county jail.
