A large crowd filled the Bishop Center for the Giants in the Trees concert on Saturday night, where former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic performed two sets with his new band. The four-piece group formed at a jam session at the Skamokawa Grange in Wahkiakum County.
During the second set, Novoselic joked a bit with the audience and reminisced about his early days mopping and polishing the floors at Grays Harbor College.
There were a few songs the band performed for the first time in front of an audience, and it is currently working on its second CD, which Novoselic said would likely be released later this year.
