At about 8:45 a.m. Sunday the Ocean Shores Police Department received a call regarding trespassing in the 700 block of Park Ave NE.
Upon arrival it was determined to be a burglary in progress. Two male suspects were contacted while exiting a detached garage and both attempted to flee. One male quickly surrendered and was taken into custody.
The second male hopped on his longboard (skateboard) which he had left in the driveway and attempted to flee from officer Joshua Roller. This second suspect made it a few blocks away before being taken into custody. Both suspects were found to be in possession of the victim’s property, as well as in possession of suspected narcotics.
Both subjects were booked into the Grays Harbor County jail for second-degree burglary and with additional charges being referred to the county prosecutors.
“We would like to send out a big thank you to the observant citizens who observed the suspicious activity and took the time to report it,” said. Sgt. Kellen Church.
