The City of Aberdeen will hold a public hearing for its proposed 2019 budget at Wednesday night’s Aberdeen City Council meeting.
Members of the public can comment on changes or additions they would like to see in the city’s annual budget, and later in the meeting City Council members will vote to pass a first reading of the budget. The meeting takes place Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. on the third floor of Aberdeen City Hall.
As of Monday afternoon, the city has not posted the full proposed annual budget online, but the council meeting agenda does include some general breakdown of how they spend their funds, which total $68,420,105.
This Wednesday’s council meeting will also include a public hearing for the future of the Armory building, where local residents can voice their opinion on whether the former home of the Aberdeen Museum of History and Coastal Community Action Program is demolished or rebuilt after a major fire totaled much of the building’s interior.
