Congressman Kilmer to hold town hall in Aberdeen on Sunday
In an effort to hear directly from residents of Washington’s 6th Congressional District, Rep. Derek Kilmer, D-Wash., has announced he will hold a series of town halls throughout the region. Town halls are open to the public. Participants will have the opportunity to hear an update on Congress and ask questions.
Kilmer will hold his next town hall Sunday in Aberdeen from 2-3 p.m. at the Aberdeen High School Auditorium, 410 N. G St. Doors open a half hour before the start of the meeting.
In 2016, Kilmer held seven town hall meetings throughout the district. So far in 2017, he’s held four and also continues to hold telephone town halls, open office hours, and he meets with constituents on ferries, public buses and at their places of employment.
“I work for the people I represent and it’s important to me that I get opportunities to hear directly from you,” Kilmer says. “I hope folks will be able to join one of my upcoming town halls to share their ideas and concerns.”
