The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind clam diggers and deer hunters of the potential hazards of being outdoors this weekend. Saturday’s expected storm will bring high seas and rough surf with projected severe sustained wind speeds with gusts potentially reaching speeds of over 70 miles per hour.
If you are going to be in the woods, be prepared for falling trees, mudslides and other obstacles the incoming storm may challenge you with. Use extreme caution and sound judgment before going out clam digging or hunting. It is recommended that people stay off the beaches and out of the woods until the storm has passed.
