Simera gives up Ward 6 Hoquiam council seat

Kim Simera, Ward 6 representive of the Hoquiam City Council, has resigned her position. Simera told The Daily World Tuesday she is giving up the seat because she is moving to another city.

Ward 6 is bordered on the east by Myrtle Street, on the north by Cherry Street, Queets Avenue and Sumner Avenue, on the west by Ontario Street, 25th Street and 24th Street, and on the south by the Chehalis River. Candidates interested in taking over the position must live in the ward.

The city will be sending an announcement soon regarding the vacancy.
